Leinster Fleadh 2026

This was a Leinster Fleadh to remember in Portlaoise.

I'm delighted to have achieved:
🏆 1st Place – Over 18 English Ladies Ballad Singing
🏆 1st Place – Senior Band & Group with Craanhill
🥈 2nd Place – Any Age Newly Composed Song
🎻 And an "unofficial" 4th Place in Senior Fiddle!

While these results mean a great deal, what made the weekend especially rewarding was seeing so many of my students take to the stage. For many, it was their very first Fleadh competition, and watching their confidence, commitment and enjoyment throughout the weekend was something I'll be incredibly proud of for a long time.

A heartfelt thank you to my family, teachers and everyone who has encouraged and supported me along the way. None of these achievements happen in isolation, and I'm very grateful to have such a strong community behind me.

Now it's on to Belfast for the All-Ireland Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann. Looking forward to the challenge and the opportunity to perform alongside some of the finest traditional musicians in the country.
